The Scholastic Preschool Literacy Program is a concrete manifestation of their shared vision to reach and inspire every child to read more, learn more, understand themselves better and, ultimately, to lead better lives. It is designed to introduce children to the joys of reading and learning during the crucial stage when learning properly makes all the difference. The Preschool Literacy Program uses a comprehensive approach to early childhood education. It uses well-researched and validated materials developed by world-renowned literacy specialists; an integrated curriculum covering different subject areas; proven strategies to teach reading, writing, speaking and listening; teacher training by national and international literacy specialists; and a parent-involvement program that engages parents to be actively involved in their children’s education. The Preschool Literacy Program promises to help raise children who have genuine love for reading. The Little Archers will surely be excited to go to school because they shall look forward to new and exciting discoveries in the leaning environment. It is their hope that this Program will help the Little Archers develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world by applying what they learn in school to everyday experiences. Surely, the Little Archers shall grow more confident about themselves and their abilities and be positive influences in the world that they shall one day call their own! This is a very exciting development for the Little Archers Learning Center and we shall look forward to many, many Little Archers learning to love and loving to learn! |

It is with great pride and promise that the Little Archers Learning Center (LALC) secures a partnership with Scholastic Books, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and a leader in educational technology, to license LALC to use an entirely new curriculum called the Scholastic Preschool Literacy Program (PLP), beginning SY 2008 – 2009.

The LALC shares in Scholastic’s vision to make education and learning a happy experience. This entails developing in the child a habit of learning through reading that will one day translate to a true love for knowledge. Scholastic Books believes in starting them young. The Little Archers Learning Center believes not only in starting them young, but starting them right. Children who learn how to read early on in their lives grow to love the magic of words. Words become a part of who they are and enrich their lives in immeasurable ways. Scholastic has made it an enduring commitment to help children read and learn – they educate children by expanding their horizons through reading. They nourish young minds and in turn, nourish all the dreams that they discover for themselves.
