The Little Archers Learning Center welcomes Teachers Jaime Ralleca, Candy Vidad, Liezl Tan, and Tessa Verame to the LALC Family! Teacher Tessa assists Teacher Jaime in our TFLEx classes every day, while Teacher Liezl handles the KFLEx class, assisted by Teacher Anina. Teacher Anina now is the head teacher for the PFLEx classes in the afternoon. Teacher Candy Vidad assists Teacher Melody during the NFLEx classes in the morning.
Teacher Tessa joins us from the College of Saint Benilde, where she finished with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Institute Management. Her culinary skills will be put to good use when we offer an enrichment class in cooking come October! Watch out for it!
More pictures, updates and thoughts can be found at http://littlearcherslc.multiply.com. Please send an email to info@littlearchers.com if you haven’t been invited to the LALC Multiply group yet. Thanks!

First Trimester
Text Box: Your teachers share the highlights of the first trimester
Text Box: The First Term was a busy one for the Purple Archers. A lot of activities took place inside and outside our classroom. The students had a chance to learn new nursery rhymes, enhance their vocabularies through different stories, and develop their observation and listening skills. We also watched a stage play which they all enjoyed tremendously enjoyed. As the students learned the first unit in the curriculum, they also completed a number of worksheets and art activities. Some pictures from our class can be found at either our website—www.littlearchers.com or our Multiply group—http://littlearcherslc.multiply.com. Check it out dear Text Box: The Yellow Archers had a blast learning a lot of things about themselves and about everything around them.  Our daily practice of reading and comprehending books became a habit for the Yellow Archers that they even ask for more books to read.  Although we don’t really ‘read’ the books, the practice of flipping pages one at a time, tracking print and interpreting pictures were copied by the kids almost immediately.   Not a day would go by without seeing one or two yellow archers pretending to read to their friends.  It can be said that they have been bitten by the reading bug.
Text Box: I’d like to thank the Blue Archers for welcoming me as their new teacher. We had lots of fun learning about the human body and the importance of plants in Science. In Math class, the children practiced reading number words through treasure hunts, group work activities and other fun games. They also became little chefs in the LALC kitchen, making muffins and pizzas. Of course, they found more enjoyment in eating the delicious results! The children are now more excited to learn how to cook more foods, and are often suggesting what they want to make in class! I’m sure that the Second Term of our academic year will be even more packed with fun-filled learning activities for the Blue Archers!
Text Box: The Green Archers are on the road to discovery. With just four students, we can’t help but get to know each other better every day! Everyday we read, read and read some more; and everyday, they write, write and write some more. They‘re learning to sight read words, spell numbers and other basic words. We discussed fundamental concepts about sentence construction, writing big and small letters and rote counting up to 100 during the First Trimester. They’ve learned more about emotions, and we started mixing different colors. It will be an exciting journey for us as we discover more things about ourselves and the things around us in the days to come.
