Text Box: loves the children as much as the children love him!  Look forward to your Little Archers bringing one of their class pets home for a weekend during the Third Trimester!
Text Box: One of the best ways to teach our children to care about and respect their environment is to be a good role model. If you show enthusiasm and respect for wildlife and nature, your child will follow the lead.
So what can parents do to help educate their children about the environment? Here are some suggestions:
Encourage outdoor learning at Text Box: Tips on Raising “Green” Kids

for two locally-bred African Love Birds (the birds are yet to be given names).  Also, the LALC has Howie, an 8-month old mixed-breed Labrador that Text Box: The LALC presents its first batch of Archer Pets!  Studies have shown that exposing children to pets at an early age allows them to have a better grasp of the diversity in our ecosystem and fosters an early respect for life.  It is towards this end 		    that the Archer 		    Pets are 			    introduced to the 		    students.  The 		    Purple Archers 		    have to care for three varieties of fish in their Text Box: Archer Pets Introduced!

Text Box: SECOND TRIMESTER LALC BIRTHDAYS!

· home. As a family, plant a garden or a tree and watch it grow. Visit a neighborhood or community garden to learn about vegetables and flowers.

· Build a birdhouse or bird feeder for your backyard. Have children collect backyard flowers and leaves to create nature bouquets or pressed-flower pictures.

· Take a weekend adventure to a park like the La Mesa Ecopark or the

· Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Park.  Spend time talking with your children about the plants and animals they see.

· Have them draw pictures or take photographs of the things they see or experience on your weekend outing.

· Check out books from our LALC library to read with your  child.
