Text Box: Volume 2, Issue 2 Second Trimester Schoolyear ‘08-’09 Text Box: The Little Archers Learning Center community celebrated the festive season with a holiday fair entitled “Celebrating One Family, One LALC!” on December 12, 2008 at the LALC Campus. The festivities began with a Christmas presentation by the Purple Archers, as they danced to the tune of “Feliz Navidad”, after which the parents went to a seminar conducted by LALC consultant Ms. Sally Labanda. While their parents were in the seminar, the Little Archers were busy doing activities and arts and crafts projects Text Box: at the Purple Archers’ classroom. After the seminar, the Yellow Archers danced to “Jingle Bell Rock”, while the Blue and Green Archers bopped to the Jackson 5 ‘s “Santa Claus is Coming (To Town)”, to the delight of their parents. Everybody then partook in the potluck lunch celebration. The day’s festivities ended with a special visit by our friend Clifford, the Big Red Dog, as he distributed gifts to the Little Archers. The Scholastic Jurassic Book Fair was also featured during the fair. Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Teacher Jaime Demonstrates at the Reading Expo Text Box: The Little Archers Learning Center’s very own Teacher Jaime Ralleca was showcased as an exemplar teacher of toddlers in the first ever Reading Expo conducted by Scholastic Books last November 22, 2008. She presented a demonstration of the Text Box: classroom activities, routines and policies she conducts everyday. “I would like to thank my students and their parents for the love and support they gave me during that very important event”, Teacher Jaime relates. She goes Text Box: on to say that the event was “truly memorable and the kids’ ... outstanding participation during the demonstration makes me so proud to be their teacher”.
